Monica Sanchez
Program Manager, Learning and Training
Monica’s journey in education spanning nearly eight years began as a high school English teacher, where she cultivated a passion for helping underserved youth discover their strengths and navigate their growth areas. She also gained experience as an assistant principal, where her focus was placed on ensuring students of all ability levels were given the guidance, instruction, and tools they needed to ensure they were set up for success towards their personal and/or academic success.
She firmly believes in creating spaces where all youth can find their voices and secure a seat at the table, especially in areas where they are traditionally underrepresented. She is excited to leverage her background and passion for education and equity to drive meaningful programs like Girl Security.
