Lyssa Asbill brings an extensive background in national security, strategic communications, and talent management to her work at Girl Security, where she leverages her extensive professional network to cultivate strategic partnerships and drive meaningful growth. Lyssa spent much of her career at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) before joining the organization. During her tenure at the CIA, Lyssa served as an Intelligence Analyst for East Asia within the Directorate of Intelligence before broadening her impact across Talent Management, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives, and serving in the Office of Public Affairs as an official CIA spokesperson.
Prior to her CIA career, Lyssa developed deep analytical expertise in Washington, D.C., supporting both the private sector and foreign government interests. Her commitment to public service began early, with formative experiences as a Senate Page for Senator Ted Kennedy and an intern for Senator John Kerry. Lyssa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Boston College and a Master of Arts in International Relations from American University.
