Girl Security Announced as One of 12 Recipients of Kyndryl Foundation Grant
Together, we will train 1,000 participants in security and technology careers
February 26, 2025 - Girl Security, a national nonprofit advancing girls, women, and gender
minority youth in security pathways, has been selected by Kyndryl Foundation as a multi-year
grantee, building upon the positive momentum of its inaugural grant year. Girl Security joins a
global community of partners working to build a robust ecosystem of technology talent and
awareness.
Over the next two years, Girl Security will train over 1,000 participants, while also continuing to
produce new insights and lessons from serving an intergenerational future workforce. As part of
this support, Girl Security will expand its high school-based clinics and its support for
participants requiring hybrid accessibility. In addition, Girl Security will continue to work with
its All Secure Alliance - a cross-sector industry initiative - to produce frameworks and tools that
support a diverse talent ecosystem.
“We are excited to continue our partnership with Kyndryl Foundation,” said Girl Security
Founder and CEO. “Their steadfast commitment has been truly transformative, enabling us to
exponentially expand our reach and impact in empowering the communities we serve. They've
been genuine partners in our mission, helping amplify our voice and creating meaningful
pathways for the next generation of leaders. Kyndryl Foundation is creating a powerful legacy of
change that will continue for years to come."
“As the largest IT infrastructure services provider, we are committed to addressing the critical
shortage of cybersecurity and AI professionals,” said Una Pulizzi, Kyndryl Foundation President
and Kyndryl Global Head of Corporate Affairs. “We are proud to offer second-year funding to
our grantees and look forward to the positive impact that can be achieved through our continued
and expanded work together to drive innovation and build a new generation of skilled
professionals.”
